Recent 00-Hershey Hot Shots Orange News
The Hershey U11 Girls Hots Shots posted a respectable fifth place finish in the rain shortened Gettysburg Battlefield Blast tournament on August 27th. Over 30 teams competed in the U11G grouping. The girls won two games, lost one, and tied won. Goals were scored by Molly Glus (2), Maddy Mascari (2), Alaina Tunnell (1), and Katie Cocco (1). Olivia Wanzilak and Josey Terry gave the team strong support in the net.
The U10 Girls Hot Shots placed second at the Memorial Day Gettysburg Blue Gray Cup. The Hot Shots ended with a 4-2 record in a strong field of teams from across the region. The team posted 2-0 and 2-1 (OT) victories in the Championship round before falling to Super Nova 2-0 in the finals. The tournament was the team's best finish in three tournaments this season.
The Hershey U9 Hurricanes and U10 Hot Shots go 6-0!
The Hershey Hurricanes enjoyed an very successful weekend at the CPYSL Friendlies Tournament held at In The Net. The Hurricanes won all three of their tournament games. On Saturday, the Hurricanes opened up with a 5-0 win against the Panthers United Orange Crush. The Hurricanes went on to beat the CPYSL PDP White team by a score of 4-0.
On Sunday, the Hurricanes returned to the pitch and capped off the weekend with a hard fought win over the CPYSL PDP Blue Team. After going down 1-0 before half the Hurricanes managed to come back in the second half and secure a 2-1 win. The Hershey Hurricanes finished the weekend tournament with 3 wins, 0 losses, 0 ties with 11 goals for and only 1 goal against.
The U10 Hot Shots also did extremely well this weekend. They also went 3-0 this weekend. All the girls were playing together for a nice team effort all three games. The two hot shots goalies, Josey and Olivia, get the credit for a shut out weekend.
The hot shots score totals were 4-0, 1-0 against HMMS, and 2-0.
